Fáilte Feirste Thiar is the community tourism initiative in West Belfast. It was established in the late 1990’s as a dynamic partnership of key private, community and statutory bodies to develop a strategy for promoting and developing the idea of tourism within the local area. The Fáilte Feirste Thiar Executive Committee provides a strategic framework to the Fáilte Feirste Thiar Project Team.
The main purpose of the post is to contribute to the economic regeneration of West Belfast through promoting development in its tourism infrastructure, in particular the sub-segments of cultural and political tourism. The role involves supporting, coordinating and facilitating the growing tourism potential of West Belfast. You will also engage strategically with the local private and community sectors to enhance their collective strength in promoting West Belfast as a tourist destination.
