The worker will be expected to promote participation, partnership, initiative and self-help amongst project participants, committee members and volunteers. The Project Coordinator will also assist in building positive working relationships between statutory and voluntary sectors.
- To act as the primary link for those project participants accessing ENABLE projects.
- In partnership with various funders, identify and recruit project participants to the various projects.
- Identify and assess the needs of project participants, with a particular focus on addressing barriers to inclusion.
- Provide information, guidance and support to project participants and their families.
- Work with project participants, providing advocacy and support to facilitate their personal and social development.
- Maintain up to date records of the progress of individual project participants.
- Ensure effective mechanisms of communication with all organisations contributing to above projects with specific emphasis on sharing information necessary to support the success of the project/programme.
- Provide information, advice and guidance on ENABLE projects to colleagues in the partner agencies and to support other areas of ENABLE’s project activity including preparation of reports.
- Provide reports and updates on the progress of the various projects as required by the Line Manager and Management committee that can be used to aid in the evaluation and monitoring of the organisation as a whole.
- Work flexibly to meet the needs of the project participants including evening and weekend working, and as directed by the Project Manager
- Participate in training opportunities which reflect the Project Coordinators and/or projects needs
- Assist in sourcing new volunteers and offer regular supervision. Source relevant training for volunteers.
- Regularly be prepared for and attend supervision with the Project Manager.
- Participate in the development of the projects’/organisation’s policies and procedures.
