Essential criteria includes

  • A sound educational background
  • Knowledge of and commitment to women’s issues particularly in relation to domestic violence
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, both verbal and written, organisation skills
  • Ability to work within a team and on own initiative within a collaborative framework
  • A sound value base of practice
  • Commitment to Women’s Aid aims and values
  • Flexibility in working hours
  • Car driver with access to car.
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent in Childcare
  • Minimum of 3 years full time experience of working with children and young people within a variety of settings
  • Minimum of 1 years paid experience of managing staff within a team setting
  • Group facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of principle underpinning children’s rights, child protection and parental responsibility
  • Ability to plan, implement and evaluate creative programmes to meet the needs of a wide range of children and young people.

Salary: £ 21,412 (Point 26 NJC Scale)
Duration: Initially for 1 year, this post is funded by NHSSB.
