CLIC Sargent (formerly Sargent Cancer Care for Children) is a charity which provides practical, emotional and social support for families whose child has a diagnosis of cancer.
Volunteer receptionists are sought for the busy central Belfast office, particularly for Thursday and Friday afternoons. The role entails greeting visitors, answering the telephone, taking messages for staff and undertaking any other admin duties as requested. Full training and support is provided and travel expenses paid.
The role is an excellent way to gain experience and understanding of how a charity office operates. Volunteers aged 18-24 who have the opportunity to join the Millennium Volunteer scheme where an Award is presented after 200 hours volunteering are particularly welcome. A commitment of approx 4 hours per week is sought from volunteers.
