RESPONSIBLE TO: Project Manager

BASIS OF EMPLOYMENT: 6 months probation contract initially leading to open contract subject to funding.

LOCATION OF POST: Living Rivers Lighthouse Hostel 24-7, 8 Linenhall Street, Ballymena

NORMAL WORKING WEEK: Minimum 44 hour week. On call as job demands.


JOB PURPOSE

To assist in the management and coordinate the support element of a supported accommodation service to men who have difficulty in sustaining accommodation elsewhere

JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. To provide assistance to and deputise in the absence of the Project Manager.
  2. To support and promote management direction and show full commitment to Living Rivers Trust.
  3. To coordinate the support element of the project, promoting an unbiased service to all service users.
  4. To ensure the smooth implementation of support programs for service users.
  5. To provide supervision and support to support staff ensuring they are treated professionally and impartially regardless of relationship or friendship to them.
  6. To coordinate the collection and recording of service charges and self payments of rent shortfalls from the service users, ensuring all evidence is up to date and accurate.
  7. To share emergency call out responsibilities with the Project Manager.
  8. To coordinate and contribute to service user's resettlement.
  9. To ensure compliance with health and safety/equality requirements and legislation, all other Living Rivers Lighthouse Hostel’s policies and procedures.
  10. To coordinate in house events for clients where it does not prevent him/her from fulfilling the primary role of his/her position.
  11. To advise the Project Manager on all aspects of the post holder’s responsibilities including up to date accounts on the development of service users.
  12. To attend additional training and develop own skills as directed by the management team.
  13. To attend all staff meetings and attend management meetings as required.
  14. To keep themselves up to date with information relevant to the post.
  15. To pray with and minister to, in the ethos and guidance of Living Rivers Trust when required.
  16. Any other duties as may be allocated, appropriate to the position including special projects.
