POST TITLE: Administrator

SALARY: £18,370.05 - 35 hour week minimum

DEPARTMENT: Living Rivers Lighthouse Hostel 24-7

RESPONSIBLE TO: Manager

BASIS OF EMPLOYMENT: 6 months probation contract initially

LOCATION OF POST: Living Rivers Lighthouse Hostel 24-7, 8 Linenhall Street, Ballymena

NORMAL WORKING WEEK: Monday - Friday 9.00 - 5.00
To provide administrative support to management of Living Rivers Lighthouse Hostel

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Minimum requirements:

1. 12 months administration experience in an office were they formed part of a team and have been required to maintain confidentiality.
2. 6 months experience or reception/telephonist work .
3. Four GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including Maths or English.
4. Demonstrated experience in word processing.
5. Demonstrated experience in use of Microsoft office applications (or equivalent).
6. A working knowledge of operating databases and spreadsheets.
7. Experience in using computerised accounts systems.
8. Ability to ensure that financial controls and procedures are fully documented and carried out in accordance to company policies.
9. Be able to demonstrate a commitment towards, the needs of disadvantaged people and to the ethos and principles of the organisation.
10. Be fully committed to the aims and objectives of Living Rivers Trust.

Preferred attributes

1. Proven knowledge of working with funding applications and monitoring returns.
2. Experience of submitted regular returns to government agencies.
3. A working knowledge of the needs of homeless people and of associated support agencies.
4. Additional relevant experience.
