To assist the Chief Officer and Coordinator of Therapeutic Services in the provision of a safe environment for children aged 5 - 11years funded by BBC Children in Need for 3 years. Applicants must have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills. The post requires the development of working partnerships within the community and local schools, with professionals and statutory bodies.

It is essential that all applicants have:

• Accreditation (or are working towards it) with BACP, IACP, UKCP or CPSM (state registered Arts Therapists)
• Ability to network and liaise with voluntary, community and statutory groups
• A professional qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy or Arts Therapy (art, drama, music, play) and at least 2 years of post qualifying supervised, therapeutic practice with children.

You should also have a background in health, education or social care. Above all you must have a commitment to the values of respect, equality, confidentiality, empathy, safety and partnership working.
