Salary: £20,202 pro rata (NJC Scale 5 Point 24) plus 8.5% pension
Duration:to 31 March 2009 (extendable subject to funding)
Hours: 20 hrs per week (negotiable within organisational needs)

You will have

  • A recognised qualification to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) and above in book-keeping, finance, office, business or project administration, and two out of the past five years experience working with main responsibility for financial coordination or management within a community or voluntary sector, family, childcare, socio economic or similar developmental setting.

Or

  • Four out of the past seven years experience working with main responsibility for financial coordination or management within a community or voluntary sector, family, childcare, socio economic or similar developmental setting.

Overall responsibilities of the post

  • Oversee the overall management of the financial functions of Greenway Women's Group.
  • Maintain and develop established financial recording and monitoring procedures for the work of Greenway Women's Group in accordance with funders requirements and as directed.
  • Prepare and produce financial activity reports for funders and Board of Directors as directed.
  • Supervise and support a dedicated team of finance volunteers.

Greenway Women's Group exists to provide women within the Cregagh Estate, Castlereagh Borough, Greater Belfast and beyond, positive opportunities for development by breaking down barriers which prevent women’s full participation in society.

We provide four key elements in supporting and empowering local women to engage with education, training, volunteering, employment and lifelong learning opportunities

  1. Essential skills supporting women towards level one and two accreditation.
  2. Education courses providing 200 plus training places annually.
  3. Volunteering opportunities to implement and develop newly learned skills and provide on site training.
  4. Affordable, accessible, on site childcare services which are paramount in enabling local women to access all of our education and training services.
