Voluntary and Community Sector Support Services Research

NICVA in partnership with a wider advisory group has recently commissioned Blueprint Development Consultancy to undertake research into the issues of support services for the Voluntary and Community Sector.

Arising from the work of the Task force and Positive Steps the assignment will be an opportunity for the Sector to influence and shape the DSD’s proposed Support Services Strategy, through an examination of some fundamental issues including

  • Defining Support needs
  • Mapping Support Structures
  • Examining how needs are currently being met
  • Considering what a sustainable support framework might look like in the medium to long term
  • Considering and developing a set of underlying principles that may guide and influence support offered

The outcome of the work will be a short report that puts forward the Sector’s view of this very important area.

The work undertaken by the research team will complement the case study work being undertaken by NICVA and will overlap with the DSD’s work being undertaken by Deloitte. (See to the right of the page)

It is important that in undertaking the research the Sector is consulted and engaged to ensure that what is delivered has the consent of the Sector and offers a robust case to Government.

If you would like to discuss the research, become involved or require further details please contact Joe. McVey, Partner with Blueprint at Icon of an envelope joe@blueprintdevelopment.com, Icon of a telephone 028 9024 4115
