One in a Million7 Dec: A Berry N'ice partnership for Cresco with Ben and Jerry's. Nominated by Gillian Smyth at Cresco Trust Ltd.

In August 2004, Cresco Trust officially opened the first ever Ben and Jerry's partnershop in Northern Ireland - a one in a million moment.

Situated in the Richmond Shopping Centre, Londonderry, the partnershop is a franchise outlet selling Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

Under the Partnershop Programme the shop is independently owned but operated by a community based non profit organisation.

The programme helps social enterprises leverage the power of business for community benefit. Ben and Jerry's waives the standard franchise fees and provides additional support to help social enterprises operate strong businesses. In turn, the shop offers employment and training to young people who may face barriers to employment.
