The political landscape has changed utterly. Green and Orange are working together. But is it a new dawn or a false start?

Guest Speaker, Dr Raman Kapur and responder Dr Wilhelm Vorwoerd will tackle this subject in this short seminar.

Speakers

Dr Raman Kapur

Raman Kapur is the Director of the mental health charity THRESHOLD. He has a particular interest in bringing psychoanalytical ideas into the public domain to understand everyday life, particularly terrorism and trauma. He is the joint author of "The Troubled Mind of Northern Ireland".

Dr Kapur will say that more significant efforts have to be made to make reparation for past psychological, political and violent injuries. He will explore the issues around true reparation. He will make the case that those in leadership will have to follow the "de Klerk" model in South Africa.

Dr Wilhelm Vorwoerd

Wilhelm Vorwoerd is the Coordinator of the Ex-combatants Programme at the Glencree Centre for reconciliation. He is the grandson of an assassinated President of South Africa and was a member of the ANC.

He is the author of "My Winds of Change" and "Looking Back, Reaching Forward: Reflections on the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission".

Registration will be from 11 a.m. until 11.45 when tea and coffee will be available. Coffee, tea and sandwiches will also be available after the seminar.
