Workshops on offer:
This workshop will examine the value of networking by looking at types of
networks, networking as a core process of community development, and
network development. Participants will have an opportunity to discuss their
experiences and to ask questions.
In this workshop the social and medical models of health and the wider
determinants of health will be explained. Participants will take part in group
exercises to highlight how using a community development approach to
tackling health inequalities can be effective.
In this workshop short presentations will be given by two different types of
Networks on their experiences and approaches to networking. This will be
followed by an opportunity for participants to ask questions and discuss
their queries or issues.
This workshop will examine the link between housing and health. It will focus
on housing as a determinant of health and well being and look at real
examples of how housing issues affect local communities. Participants will
have an opportunity to discuss the issues and to ask questions.
