The A Shared Future consultation gave Community Relations Council (CRC) the opportunity to identify key community and race relations issues in NI, how they might be addressed and who should be involved in the delivery of the actions.

The Government has now published the Policy and Strategic Framework for Good Relations in Northern Ireland (www.asharedfutureni.gov.uk).

This year's conference will give you the opportunity to discuss and influence actions through four workshops

1.tackling the visible manifestations of sectarianism and racism 2.reclaiming shared space and promoting shared communities 3.reducing tension at interface areas 4.developing shared workplaces

The workshops will act as a mechanism to involve participants in shaping a Triennial Action Plan being developed by a cross-departmental group (a Good Relations Panel). The Plan will identify key actions across government, co-ordinate long-term actions, advise on the targeting of resources and monitor outcomes.

To secure a place at the conference contact Peter Thompson at CRC.
