Parenting Forum NI will be supporting regional parenting groups to implement new National Occupational Standards for Work with Parents, as well as encouraging the uptake of new qualifications by individual practitioners.

The Qualifications, which have been developed by Parenting UK and City and Guilds, in partnership with the Parenting Forum NI, incorporate all the knowledge and skills required to meet the National Occupational Standards.

This training is:

  • Free
  • Accredited
  • Accessible regionally
  • Flexible to meet individual learning needs

Why implement Standards?

Employers can:

  • Address the specific development needs of their workforce
  • Measure performance against nationally recognised benchmarks

Why participate in Training for Work with Parents?

Paid and unpaid staff can:

  • Achieve accreditation for specific units of competence only, to meet personal development needs
  • Achieve City and Guilds, level 2 and level 3 qualifications
  • Enhance and improve performance in the workplace
