The theme of the event is "Masquerade Ball" and it will be a truly glittering enchanted and unforgettable evening. There is a charity raffle including some fine art and adventure days to name but a few and all proceeds from which will go to our charity as well as the profits from the ticket sales. Initially we had planned on an event for some 120 people but due to overwhelming support we have increased our numbers to 400 so we have a quite a few tickets available.

We have been so lucky to have achieved so much support already, please have a look at our website www.belfastmasqueradeball.co.uk where a list of sponsors can be seen.

The charity we are supporting is “Look Good...Feel Better“. It is a cancer support charity that helps women manage the visible side effects of cancer treatments. After the shock of being diagnosed with cancer, many women are then devastated by the distressing side effects of their treatment, some of which dramatically change their appearance and body image, which can be particularly difficult to deal with.

Look Good…Feel Better was first introduced in 1994 by the Cosmetic, Toiletry and Perfumery Association, it is supported by the Beauty Industry. The charity offers 'free' make-up workshops and support throughout a network of hospitals and cancer support centres nationwide. Look Good.. Feel Better help these women in a positive and practical way. It is now available in over 50 locations within the UK (in Northern Ireland it is offered in the Belfast City Hospital, Macmillan Centre). Since the programme began in 1994, it has helped over 60,000 women with cancer to look good and to feel better. Studies have shown that a positive outlook and renewed confidence and self esteem are beneficial to patients - helping them to cope with and continue with their treatment.
