The event is a must-attend for delegates from across the lifelong learning sectors: community learning and development; FE; HE; Libraries, Archives and Information Services; and Work-Based Learning.
Speakers Include: The Rt Hon Alan Johnson MP, Professor David Melville CBE and Mark Fisher.
The lifelong learning sector is vital in helping the UK remain competitive and improving individual welfare and community development. Raising the concentration of higher-level skills in the wider workforce is a fundamental challenge. Successfully meeting this challenge depends on a workforce committed to lifelong learning backed up by adequate investment and equipped with the skills to bring out the best in learners. It is therefore paramount that lifelong learning employers take a lead on staff development and leadership enhancement.
Looking forward to the possible conclusion of the Leitch Review, this conference brings together senior representatives from across the lifelong learning sector to examine initiatives taking place across the United Kingdom, and set out the next steps for the sector in workforce planning and professional development.
