The Ulster People's College (UPC) is holding a roundtable discussion on "From Government to Grassroots: Is peace and reconciliation being achieved?" as part of their Building Capacity and Building Relationships project, which is funded by CFNI, and are inviting you to take part.
The aim of the event is to discover how people feel about reconciliation in the current political climate in Northern Ireland. Participants will discuss reconciliation issues in relation to education and training, interfaces and local political activity in Northern Ireland. It is hoped that the event will finish with key discussion points and some recommendations from community representatives about reconciliation in the future.
UPC Lecturer in Adult and Community Education Finola Hunt explains,
“We hope that the event will provide participants with the opportunity to reflect on reconciliation in their own communities in the last number of years”
The event will take place at the UPC, 1 Lower Crescent, Belfast on Thursday 26 June, 10.30am and will finish with a buffet lunch at 1pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. To register please contact Grace on 028 9033 0131. Places are limited so you are advised to register early.
