International Voluntary Service – Northern Ireland is hosting two events in partnership with the Zimbabwe Solidarity Campaign in the IVS-NI offices at 34 Shaftesbury Square. The first event will be held on the 14 December 2004, from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
IVSNI is pleased to welcome Thokozani Khupe. Ms Khupe is a Member of Parliament and the National executive for the Movement for Democratic Change. She is also secretary for transport and logistics for the MDC and its deputy Chief whip. Thokozani has an extensive background in trade unionism and advancement of women in Zimbabwe.
Ms Khupe will talk about the current socio-political situation in Zimbabwe. Afterwards there will be time for questions and answers.
The second event will be on the 16 December 2004, from 2.00 pm to 4.00pm.There will be video presentation of events surrounding the last elections, and a photographic exhibition.She will outline exactly what happened during those elections. Time will be available for questions and answers.
