This is the first of three follow-up conferences to last autumn’s National Safe Routes to Schools Conference in Leicester.

The Conference will bring young people, teachers, governors and parents together with education, health and transport practitioners to discuss the school run. Lectures, discussions and interactive workshops will look at the possibilities of introducing Safe Routes to Schools schemes and the benefits to health and traffic congestion such schemes can bring.
The conference is organised by Sustrans in partnership with the DRD Roads Service, The Health Promotion Agency and the Department of Education.
