'Social Capital, Partnership, Regulation - Building The Future of the Community and Voluntary Sector in Ireland'

The Wheel's annual conference will explore some of the opportunities and challenges facing the community and voluntary ector in Ireland in the context of a changing future including:

• The conclusion of the Social Partnership Negotiations - what comes next?
• Developing the relationship between the state and the community and voluntary sector.
• Introduction of the Heads of Bill for the Charities Legislation.
• Increasing demand for good governance in the changing regulatory environment.

Speakers include:

• Rory O'Donnell, Director of the National, Economic and Social Council (NESC)
• Mary Davis, CEO of Special Olympics Ireland, recently appointed Chair of the Task Force on Active Citizenship
• Fergus Finlay, CEO of Barnardos
• Fr Sean Healy, Director of CORI
• Martin Sime, CEO of the Scottish Council for Voluntary Organisations (SCVO)
