The Human Rights Consortium will be holding a 2 day conference on 2 and 3 July 2008 in the Wellington Park Hotel, Belfast.
Guests will have the pleasure of hearing from a range of internationally renowned experts such as Bruce Porter, Director of the Canadian Social Rights Advocacy Centre and Francesca Klug OBE, Professorial Research Fellow at the Centre for the Study of Human Rights at the London School of Economics.
In addition, delegates will hear from the convenors of the various Working Groups of the Bill of Rights Forum and the human rights adviser to each group, who will both discuss their group’s work and contribution to the final report.
In closing, the conference will hear a response from the Chief Commissioner of the NI Human Rights Commission, Monica McWilliams, on some of the topics that have been discussed and their plans for bringing the proposals forward.
