The Association of Charity Shops’ Annual Conference, Exhibition and Awards Dinner is unique to the charity retail sector and provides an invaluable networking and learning opportunity for anyone involved in the running of charity shops.
The Conference theme for 2005 will be Innovation and Best Practice , including perspectives from the UK high street and charity retail in the USA. There will also be a wide range of focus sessions tackling everything from how to set up house-to-house collections to the pressures of cost inflation and price deflation on the profitability of charity shops.
The 2005 Conference is jointly sponsored by Elle Publishing and B Smith Packaging, with the awards sponsored by Powell Publishing.
The exhibition will be hosting a wide range of suppliers to the sector, while the evening drinks reception, sponsored by Propress Steamers and Stayfast shopfitters, will provide more opportunities for great networking. All this will be followed by after an after dinner speech from writer and performer Mel Giedroyc.
