Echo Echo Dance Theatre Company will be offering a one-week movement course for parents and pre-school children from Monday 16 to Friday 20 June.

Adults can feel awkward and clumsy joining their wee ones on their own level. This course for under 5s provides a gentle and playful opportunity for mums and dads to get down, play and explore movement with their kids.

The classes will start at 10am so enough time to drop the older kids to school and will finish at 11.30am freeing you up for the rest of the day.

Echo Echo Development Officer, Sarah Young said:

“The class is for kids under 5 years old so it is an opportunity for parents and children to bond at that all important early age and have fun together.

“ We are aware that adults often feel silly or self conscious getting down on the floor with their little ones so this course is designed to break that barrier between adult and child.

“The classes will be lead by the Co-Artistic Director of the company, Steve Batts, so everyone is in safe hands. He will make all participants feel comfortable but also challenge them.”

The one-week course will be held in Echo Echo’s dance studio in The Waterside Theatre from Monday 16 to Friday 20 June at 10am - 11.30am. It costs £30 /£15 concession with family discounts available.
