The Ulster People's College is delighted to be hosting a seminar with magician Ishamudin and puppeteer Arran Towers on the use of magic in India as a tool for engaging people as well as examining changing cultural issues in India and how relevant these are to Northern Ireland.

Ishamudin - Indian Magician

Ishamudin, who is also performing at the Festival of Fools

Ishamudin, who is also opening the Festival of Fools, will perform some of his magic. During the second part of the workshop the audience will be introduced to Arran Towers, a master of Indian puppets.

Arran uses the puppets as a tool to raise awareness of multi-cultural issues in both the Republic of Ireland and India.

The seminar is free and open to all. The event is particularly likely to be of interest to community artists and those who wish to manage community activities and diversity using innovative and different methods.
