Event
A New World Music Festival for Northern Ireland
On 28 August, musicians from all around the world who have come to live in Northern Ireland will be joining together for a special one-day event. The event, to be headlined by Aziz Ibrahim (Stone Roses), will showcase local musicians from places as diverse as Zimbabwe, Poland, Argentina, China and India.
The day will start with open workshops for Guitar, World Drums and a special introduction to music technology. We then continue with over four hours of music from around the world to entertain every possible taste from rock to zamba, from singer/songwriters to the very special Motion Project collaboration of over thirty musicians!
You can expect to hear african drumming, blues from Poland, chill-out sounds from the Caribbean and some homegrown Irish folk! A true melting pot of styles and cultures put together for your entertainment.
Further information on the day and the artists involved can be found at www.homelyplanet.org.
