Northern Ireland's political parties have many disagreements but they are coming together next week to voice their support for the Enough is Enough campaign for an anti-poverty strategy that is better than the feeble one produced by the government.

Appropriately they will meet at the old Belfast poor house, Clifton House on North Queen Street at 9.30am on Monday 19 September.

The representatives attending are:

  • Alliance: Eileen Bell MLA
  • DUP: Nelson McCausland MLA
  • SDLP: Mark Durkan MP, MLA
  • Sinn Fein: Kathy Stanton MLA
  • UUP: Fred Cobain MLA.

There will be good photo opportunities at the event, including children dressed as paupers, as the residents of Clifton House would have been.

Any sector representatives who wish to attend should contact Icon of an envelope Cathy Breslin before 12.00pm on Wednesday 14 September.

Don't forget to sign the open letter to Lord Rooker if you have not already done so.
