Carers Northern Ireland is holding awareness training for carers on the Bill of Rights debate and Human Rights.

This training will provide an exciting chance to increase carers’ awareness of the issue of Human Rights and how it relates to carers lives. It will also increase awareness of and commitment to a Bill of Rights for Northern Ireland among carers.

You will learn why the Bill of Rights debate is so important, and how as a carer, you can have your say on what a Bill of Rights should contain.

  • Introduction to human rights
  • Introduction to the Bill of Rights debate
  • Why do we need a Bill of Rights?
  • How the Bill of Rights can affect the lives of carers
  • What do you as a carer think should be included in the Bill of Rights

*Carers are people who look after an ill, frail or disabled family member, friend or partner
