Event

Given that there will be elections to the Northern Ireland Assembly in March, we feel that this would be an ideal time to hold an event involving a panel of speakers made up of local MLAs from the four main political parties (names to be confirmed), with an opportunity for questions and discussion involving audience members drawn from within our membership and key stakeholders.

Vision

The theme that we have chosen for this discussion is based on the vision of Belfast Interface Project which is of a Belfast in which todays interface communities:

• Are free of tension, intimidation and violence both within and between communities;
• Have come to terms with the legacies of the past;
• Are socially and economically vibrant, within an attractive physical environment;
• Enjoy freedom of movement in accessing facilities and services;
• Have respect for cultural difference and diversity.

Discussion

Panel members will be asked to give a short (10mins. max.) presentation/talk on the following:

• Do you share this vision?
• Post March, what will your party do differently to help turn this vision into a reality?
