Next Steps for Dormant Accounts Directions
The DFP committee recently discussed the responses to the dormant accounts consultations (9 Dec 2009). In the discussion DFP officials set out the process for directions to be issued on the priorities for the dormant accounts funding in Northern Ireland.
DFP officials are planning to discuss responses with this week, and he will consider the results of the public consultation between now and the end of January 2010.
At that point DFP officials will assist him in bringing forward his recommendations, first to the First Minister and deputy First Minister for their endorsement and then to the Executive.
Following that, an Order will be brought to the Assembly with the priorities for Northern Ireland, and that will be subject to affirmative resolution.
