Goals of Stop Climate Change NI (SCCNI)
Northern Ireland is underperforming and needs to 'Get in the Game'. That's the message from Stop Climate Chaos Northern Ireland (SCC NI), and Ulster and Ireland rugby star Stephen Ferris.
The Get in the Game campaign offers the public the opportunity to make a difference in Northern Ireland in this election year by signing the petition which can be accessed at www.communityni.org/content/act-now/ . More about SCCNI
SCCNI will publicise the need for individual action to combat climate change and will promote policy changes that will encourage and facilitate individual, governmental and corporate action to stop human-induced climate change having terrifying consequences.
The goals of the Coalition are to raise awareness of climate change and to change behaviour and public policies to deliver local and global benefits. The coalition recognises that the behaviour of people in Northern Ireland is, through climate change, having disproportionate negative impacts on those living in many parts of the developing world. By working together we hope that we can help people here recognise that individual and political action in Northern Ireland can make a difference both here and internationally.
SCCNI has good working links with the Stop Climate Chaos UK and Stop Climate Chaos in the Republic of Ireland
