Understanding Eating Disorders Training Workshop

Beat, the UK’s leading eating disorder charity, is hosting its first ever Northern Ireland based understanding eating disorders training workshop in Belfast in November 2015.
The CPD-accredited full day course has been designed for a wide variety of professionals to expand their knowledge of eating disorders. The training requires no previous knowledge of eating disorders; offering a comprehensive and accessible introduction to the subject. The training is suitable for carers and students, those working in health and social care, education, local authorities, mental health, health and fitness, as well as other private sector organisations.
The workshop will be delivered by a Beat professional trainer who is an experienced eating disorders practitioner.
Topics covered will include:

- Key facts and figures
- Signs and symptoms
- Causes and risks
- Myths and misunderstandings
- Overview of recovery
- Treatment and key interventions
- Further information and support
