For many, the winner of this year's prestigious Ulster Minor Club Tournament will come from the first semi final, Stephens Day at St Paul's GAC. Given the performances off both teams in their opening games, Moortowns phenomenal comeback over a strong Ramor United in the preliminary round, followed up by victory over Monaghans Donaghmoyne, it's clear why many have the Moortown men as tournament favourite's. Standing in their way of fulfilling that ambition is of course none other than Armaghs powerhouse Crossmaglen Rangers. Given the success of the Cross senior football sides you could well believe that a few minor Ulster club titles would already adorn the Rangers trophy cabinet, alas, you'd be wrong!. Cross actually won their first ever match at the St Paul's Minor Tournament over St Bronaghs Rostrevor in this year's quarter final. A very strong Southern Gaels outfit from Cavan ousted the Rangers last year in a very entertaining game and it was certainly a strong team that was needed to overturn a blossoming Rangers side. It's noted that a number of the 2014 Cross team have come back, bigger, stronger and clearly hungrier as they overcame St Bronaghs of Down with plenty to spare. Moortown were also disposed off by the same Southern Gaels side in 2014 in the preliminary stage. This is definitely a close one to call between two experienced teams and given these lads are forgoing the pleasures of a relaxing Christmas dinner, it's fair to expect two
