Trafficking Forum

Human trafficking is happening here. In Northern Ireland. Where you live. On your doorstep. It has a face. It has a name.

Please join us for a powerful and informative evening. It will be a night of education, empowerment and inspiration about how we can bring the dream of ending modern day slavery into a tangible reality.

We will be outlining

  1. What is the problem of human trafficking locally and globally
  2. Our response and what is already being done in Northern Ireland
  3. What we can do

We will be joined by Dr Tom Obakata (QUB), Detective Superintendent Philip Marshall (PSNI), Ruth Cooke LLB, IPLS (International Justice Mission), Peter Kernoghan (Exodus), Mel Wiggans (Craigavon ACT) who will be sharing their experitise.

There will also be a forum at the end of the evening including political representatives of the "All Party Group on Human Trafficking" with the opportunity for Q&As. We will be joined by Anna Lo (Alliance), David McNarry (Indep), David McIlveen (DUP), Jennifer McCann (SF) and others.

There will also be some dynamic entertainment and some refreshments provided.

Everyone will get a resource pack with details of the weeks events, information from NGOs with ways to get involved and some goodies!
