This course is for anyone already delivering training and requires a nationally recognised qualification and anyone wanting to enter the teaching/training profession.
The course can be used to update your skills and knowledge if you already hold an equivalent QCF qualification such as PTLLS, or an exempt qualification, which is listed on the Standards Verification UK tariff. Essential elements of teaching practice will be covered during the programme including:
- roles and responsibilities of teaching
- developing lesson plans and schemes of work
- using resources
- principles and practice of assessment
You will be required to complete 3 assignments and a 30 minute micro teaching session, delivered to your class peers.

Volunteer NowTraining/AdviceThis course is aimed at individuals who recruit, manage or supervise staff and volunteers working with children and/or adults. It will examine the procedures that need to be put in place for effective recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers including requirements under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order, the current and former definitions of regulated activity and how to exercise careful judgement when assessing information on an Access NI Disclosure Certificate. It will also look at the procedures required for the effective management of staff and volunteers including induction and training, breach of code of behaviour and referral to the Disclosure and Barring Service.- - -
