THIS IS HOW TO START ST.PATRICKS DAY! - 5k Fun Run to raise awareness of COPD - Squad dressed in green running round like maniacs. Whatever ya do after that is up to you. This will get the adrenalin going. A little bit about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease - COPD is an umbrella term ...for a pair of commonly co-existing diseases of the lungs in which the airways become narrowed (chronic bronchitis and emphysema) It affects a large amount of people in Ireland and the UK. It affects peoples ability to take in Oxygen which greatly reduces quality of life. It also often leads to death. It is usually, but not always, a result of smoking. And so, if people were aware, it could be avoided. Worldwide it is ranked as the 6th leading cause of death. No.6. Think about that. 6th Biggest killer in the world and you havent heard of it.  This run, as well, as being a great way to kick of your St.Patricks Day celebrations aims to change that.
