EPALE (ePlatform for Adult Learning in Europe) is running a half-day workshop as part of the Belfast Festival of Learning. Come along and hear what the website has to offer and also join in a discussion about how best to engage adult learners.
The EPALE website - https://ec.europa.eu/epale/en - is all about sharing resources, engaging in discussion and building links with others right across Europe. It's for anyone who organises or delivers learning to adults, whether formal or informal, whatever sector you work in.
We'll demonstrate the range of content and tools that EPALE offers and hope you will join those in Northern Ireland who are already engaging - and indeed contributing to the site.
A core theme of EPALE is Learner Support - overcoming barriers, increasing inclusion - so the second half of the workshop will be a disucssion on what works (and what doesn't) in terms of outreach, particularly to the 'hard to reach'. We'll have local inputs and then a discussion led by a colleague from the Learning & Work Institute (http://www.learningandwork.org.uk/).
