Senior Leaders and Trustees Conference: Preparing for the GDPR

NICVA

NICVA

Cost: Free

Due to demand we are re-running this conference for senior leaders and trustees in the voluntary and community sector on data protection and the pending General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Changes are coming to data protection law and how we look after our information, about both our people and our members. ‘Getting it right’ must be a key corporate objective within all organisations as we move closer to an ever increasing digital economy, where privacy and transparency are high on everyone’s agenda.

Senior leaders and trustees must be beacons of good practice in these areas, not only from an accountability and risk perspective, but to also ensure everyday information rights and privacy practices are built into key service delivery and operational models. This event will showcase what you need to know and how the Information Commissioner’s Office expects you to be preparing for the pending changes.

Who should attend?

This conference is for Chief Executives, Senior Management Teams and Board Members from the Northern Ireland voluntary and community sector to discuss and debate GDPR and wider information rights.

The conference will have a range of speakers including the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session.

Please bring along a smart phone or tablet for the event if you have one as there will be some interactive content as part of the conference.

Places are limited to 2 people per organisation and specifically for NI voluntary and community sector organisations.

Please note, this Conference was previously run on 19 May 2017. Please do not register if you previously attended the May event.
