Seminar on The Unique Learner Number for Learners in the Voluntary and Community sector
NICVA
If you are delivering qualifications, you need to find out how to allocate Unique Learner Numbers over the next few months in order to make examination entries. This seminar on 2 July will show you how.
The Unique Learner number (ULN) is a lifelong learning individual number, just like a national insurance number, that relates to education and learning. It is used for processing all accredited qualifications. It allows you to build achievements into a learning record that shows all your achievements in one place, joining up qualifications taken at different times and with a variety of organisations.
The ULN is used in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. In Northern Ireland, the ULN must be used for all learners in further education and training. From December 2015, all pupils aged 14 and over must have a ULN. If you are delivering qualifications, you need to find out how to allocate ULNs over the next few months in order to make examination entries.
We are running a seminar on 2 July from 10am-12noon in NICVA. If you would like to attend, please send your name, organisation and email address to David Crosbie at [email protected].
