Reviewing Performance at Board Level

Leading Governance Ltd

Leading Governance Ltd

Cost: £95 + VAT

How do you know if your board is performing, and truly adding value to the organisation?

This workshop will help you answer this question by considering how and why boards review their performance. Best practice suggests that boards should evaluate their performance annually, and that of their committees and individual board members. We will share with you practical frameworks to measure your performance in each area. We will also look at reviewing the performance of the Chief Executive, and how to handle critical performance conversations.

The session will be facilitated by Joy Allen, Managing Director of Leading Governance Limited and a Fellow of the Institute of Directors. Joy is a governance specialist and experienced trainer. Comments from previous course participants reflect the fun and interactive nature of Joy’s workshop sessions:

“Joy’s delivery was brilliant. The session was perfectly pitched. Thank you”, board member of a London-based charity, November 2014

“This session has taken our board to the next level of development. Right levels of challenge and motivation in a very positive atmosphere”, participant on open training programme, October 2014

“Best course I have attended on corporate governance. Plenty of things to think about and useful for preparing for annual review of governance with our partnership”, participant on SEUPB governance workshops delivered by Leading Governance April 2014

At the end of this course, participants will have the tools necessary to conduct their own reviews at board level.
