4. Reminiscence Work With People With Learning Disability - 1 day course
Course content will cover;

  • The benefits of reminiscence for the individual with a learning disability, his family and carers.
  • Aging and dementia in learning disability
  • Planned and spontaneous reminiscence with people with a learning disability.
  • Record-keeping and evaluation towards person-centred and relationship-centred care.
  • Working with troubled and painful memories,
  • Using multisensory triggers to stimulate recall
  • Reminiscence themes, activities and products
  • Reminiscence resources and contacts
