1.  Reminiscence Theatre - 1 day workshop

The workshop is aimed at museum staff, health & social care staff, community groups, local arts centres, theatre workers, drama students and individuals who have an interest in reminiscence, life stories and oral history.  It will also demonstrate intergenerational performance and educational development through the sharing and re-enactment of memories.

This exciting 1-day workshop is facilitated by Pam Schweitzer, the co-ordinator of the European Reminiscence Network and an international authority on reminiscence.  Pam will provide various illustrations from professional theatre productions based on people’s memories and performances by older people of their own shared memories.

Reminiscence Theatre is about seeing and realising the dramatic potential in real stories.  This highly interactive workshop drawing on Pam’s vast experience promises to be a unique learning opportunity as well as very good fun.
