On behalf of the Derbyshire Office for the Police and Crime Commissioner and NoOffence! CIC We would like to invite you to join us at a conference focusing on Domestic Violence and Abuse.
This conference will enable participants to debate and network, whilst encouraging resource sharing and will be relevant to a wide range of practitioners, policy makers and Commissioners, Heads of Education and Children’s Services, Local Authorities and others who focus on providing services to victims and perpetrators of domestic violence.
We will be asking important questions such as:
- Can we afford not to consider prevention?
- We all want there to be fewer victims of domestic violence. Is it possible to achieve a return on investment through the prevention of domestic abuse/violence? How?
- Investment should be made in our children to recognise what a healthy relationship looks like. Whose responsibility is this?
- Should our commissioning structure divert reducing resources away from the ‘sticky plaster’ solution and towards prevention?
