Northern Ireland Official Millions Missing / International ME and Fibromyalgia Awareness Day

Cities and town around the globe will be holding awareness events to highlight the lack of funding for biomedical research into ME and fibromyalgia, the great need for education within the medical profession and the lack of NHS specialist care.

This year is the 25th Anniversary of International May 12th Awareness for ME, Fibro and other neuroimmune related illnesses.
We welcome and encourage anyone who is at all able, to join us for this important day.

Newry City Hall will be lit up purple and blue to mark this event.

Newry Lord Mayor, Gillian Fitzpatrick will read out the Newry, Mourne and Down Council official proclamation for May International ME and Fibro awareness, at 4PM.
Followed by light refreshments.

Invitations have been sent to all Councillors (40) in NM&D District Council.

Our charity, third round of Millions Missing demonstration will include over 100 pairs of empty shoes from patients, too ill to attend. These shoes with messages from bed or housebound patients, will be displayed on the footpath area, directly outside the City Hall. Stories from men women and even children, all missing from normal life due to MyalgiC Encephomyalitis.

An information stall and Millions Missing information posters will also be on display.
