Mental Health Policy Forum
NICVA
The Mental Health Policy Forum provides an opportunity for a diverse range of people to network and share information in the field of mental health. The next meeting of the Forum takes place on Tuesday, 9 September from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
The forum is open for new members and anyone working in the field of mental health can join.
Shona Hamilton, Chair of the Northern Ireland Maternal Mental Health Alliance has agreed to speak about maternal mental health in Northern Ireland including;
- what mental ill-health women can experience during the perinatal period
- child and wider family impacts
- current policy and service provision
- ‘Everybody’s Business’ UK campaign – more information available on the Child and Maternal Health Intelligence Network website.
The Forum will also hear from Jenny Thompson on her lived experience of postnatal depression.
This will be followed by a short period for questions/discussion.
