Seminar AimThe aim of this event is to assist Senior Managers & HR Professionals to benchmark and review their current absence management procedures against best practice indicators aimed at promoting equality of opportunity.

Learning ObjectivesBy the end of the seminar participants should have had an opportunity to have considered:

  1. The main factors that lead to high levels of employee absence and the practices that can help to reduce it. 
  2. An implementation plan outlining the key steps to take when seeking to develop a fair and effective absence management policy.
  3. Absence management equality indicators outlined in Chapter 17 of the Unified Guide to Promoting Equality of Opportunity in Employment.
  4. Relevant equality related tribunal decisions.
