Growing Together 'Local Heroes' is raising awareness of how people can support local growing groups. Why heroes? Because heroes are all about taking action! We also want to hear about Local Heroes who are already make their community a better place!
We need to work together to find and inspire our Local Heroes, so between now and September we'll be running a host of events and workshops to help us do just that. There are millions of people out there not involved in community growing, but with a bit of encouragement could become a Local Hero. We want to encourage people to do something that benefits community growing - like sign up to a veg box scheme, attend events or workshops, volunteering or providing sponsorship. We want to grow this campaign into something that will inspire a nation full of heroes who want to support community growing and help create better, healthier, more engaged communities.. Help us reach out to them and spread the word along your own local community.
