What is the Course?

Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling

As a Training Organisation, The Training and Recruitment House is accredited by TQUK/HABC/CIEH/IOSH. This course leads to certification in the CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling.

This course has been registered by CITB NI for assistance to registered in-scope employers.

What can I do once I complete the Course?

This Course will allow you to perform manual handling tasks safely. Completing this Course should keep you back pain free!

How long does the Course take?

The Course takes around 4 hours in total. It is normally delivered over ½ day. This class runs - 9am - 1pm

Yes there are 30 multiple choice questions.

We have a 84% pass rate at our Centre which is higher than the UK Average of 93%.

How is the Course delivered? What will I learn?

The Course is very interactive and you will be supplied with all materials. You will learn about the back, common injuries, risk assessment and safe methods to be used.

This is an essential course for anyone at work. Incorrect manual handling can cause permanent back pain.

Keeping Children and Adults Safe: Training for Staff and Volunteers Refresher Training

This course is aimed at individuals who recruit, manage or supervise staff and volunteers working with children and/or adults. It will examine the procedures that need to be put in place for effective recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers including requirements under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order, the current and former definitions of regulated activity and how to exercise careful judgement when assessing information on an Access NI Disclosure Certificate. It will also look at the procedures required for the effective management of staff and volunteers including induction and training, breach of code of behaviour and referral to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
