Are you working with young people and using sport? Could you be using sport for development? Sported. and the Confederation of Community Groups Newry are holding an information session for groups to learn more about sport for development.

sported. in partnership with the Confederation of Community Groups Newry are holding an information event to help groups learn more about sport for development and how it might be used in their work with young people.  The session will look at the theory of sport for development and also have a practical example of how one group uses sport for development with the young people they work with.  Sported. will also give an overview of its work, the support it offers groups using  sport for development and how groups can become members.  Speakers will include Paul Kitchin, Lecturer at the University of Ulster, Ronan McKenna from Shaftesbury Community Recreation Centre and Brenda Kelly from sported.  The session is free.  Places are limited so booking is essential.  To book a place contact Sean Maguire on smaguire@ccgnewrycommunity.org or 02830261022
