A Heritage Showroom (Interior Design)

Join designer Maria Rice from ADI Studio, as she shares her inspiration and processes behind choosing the interiors and artwork for the new Titanic Hotel Belfast.

With the restoration of the former Harland & Wolff Drawing Offices now complete and the building’s transformation into Titanic Hotel Belfast, Titanic Foundation are offering a unique opportunity to hear about some of the work behind the project.

Designer Maria Rice from ADI Studio, will share her inspiration and processes behind choosing the interiors and artwork for the new Titanic Hotel Belfast. The building was once a showroom for Harland & Wolff at their prime and has been sensitively and tastefully restored to its former glory.

The restoration of the building wouldn’t have been possible without the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund and their Heritage Enterprise Programme, which is designed to help when the cost of repairing an historic building is so high that restoration simply is not commercially viable.

The investment from The Heritage Lottery Fund has supported the expert conservation and interpretation of the Drawing Offices and heritage features of the building, ensuring an important level of public access to these areas for years to come. With their support, the project team was able to source additional funding and the restoration of one of Belfast’s most important buildings could finally be completed.

This free lecture will take place in Drawing Office 1 at 5pm on Monday October 16th and will include a short tour of the heritage rooms Maria has designed.
