This course will help you identify when someone has been the victim of a hate crime and how to help people deal with the housing implications of hate crime.
Hate crime is a crime against a person because of their race, religious belief, sexual orientation, political opinion, gender identity or disability. As a result of a hate crime a person may be afraid to stay in their home, they might want to make it more secure or move on to safer accommodation.
This course will help you identify when someone has been the victim of a hate crime and how to help people deal with the housing implications of hate crime.
This course will cover
- The type of hate crimes which exist
- Identifying when a hate crime has occurred
- The help available for victims of hate crime
- The housing options which are available for victims of hate crime to either sustain their accommodation or move to more suitable accommodation, including presenting as homeless, applying for selection scheme points, moving into private rented accommodation.
